We were in the middle of an ADA lawsuit and were so overwhelmed with everything in the midst of the pandemic. The first contractor we hired claimed to have fixed everything, but we failed the inspection. We then hired Ricardo to help us lay down the concrete on our property so it would be ADA compliant. I couldn’t be happier with the results and I am so happy to say, we passed the inspection! He was so honest, respectful, and responsible. I would definitely hire him for future projects!

We’ve been using them for two years now for our seal coat, paving repair and stripe service. They have always done an excellent job with great customer service. All the projects that they’ve done turned out better. 1/3 of the parking lot (about 160,000/SF) was done in two days with seal coat the first day. Then re-striping was done on the second day.

My company hired Cato’s for an Asphalt and restripe job for our parking lot. Ruben was our project coordinator. He was straight forward with the whole process; all it took was 1 day to remove the old broken up Asphalt and replace with new. Overall, very satisfied with the customer service including Jessica, the Foreman, and all the guys involved with this project!

I live on a non- county maintained road that has twenty homes on it.
Over the years the road became riddled with deep potholes that needed to be repaired. After reaching out to a number of paving contractors who were booked, didn’t want to work with such a large group, only wanted to do a shallow fill with Cal Trans Slurry overlay or didn’t offer the standard, high quality asphalt repair we desired, I worried that we would not get this project off the ground.
After reaching out to our local services district (TCSD) I was given Cato’s number and I was impressed by the quick response and attention to detail from everyone I spoke with at the company.
Robby, the estimator, came to Marin to walk the road and determine which areas needed immediate attention.
He quickly sent the estimate and was very clear about what would be required regarding the work. He was also very responsive when questions arose. On the day of the project the crew was ready to go on time and finished ahead of schedule. Rafael was the foreman and the crew went way beyond what we expected. The repairs are excellent and the homeowners are very happy with the results.

If you are considering paving or doing any asphalt repair or seal, I recommend talking with with Cato’s Paving. Their knowledge of materials depending on your project is pretty extensive. The level of communication was perfect, the crews work hard and treat the project as if it was their own. From our initial consultation to replace existing asphalt, sealing the roads, painting the curbs, adding speed bumps and replacing the street signs with new ones, Cato’s Paving was a pleasure to work with. After a couple of quotes from others, Catos’ offered valuable observations that really improved our plan and ended up saving us money from others. We wanted to level up the community drive experience, it came out looking like a million bucks. The crew even re-graded some of the roads for better drainage to make the new road last longer; we’d use Cato’s Paving again in a heartbeat.
To sum it up… Cato’s is honest in assessment, fair in pricing options, and beyond exceptional in execution!

Last week we had Cato’s Paving repave our whole church parking lot and I couldn’t be happier. First, Alfonso was knowledgeable, he was able to solve all our problems and provide professional advice. He even solved our drainage issue by creating a huge drainage system for us. It was a big job and I was surprised how Alfonso could handle it with ease. Alex’s crew was phenomenal. During ground digging several problems arose due to poor underground piping. He was able to give me the best advice on how to correct it and solve the problem right away. Rafa came and inspected the progress from time to time, and Alfonso came to address issues in a timely fashion upon request. Everyone in his crew was courteous and seemed experienced in the trade. Our parking lot striping was also done. Due to the irregular shape of our parking lot, it was extremely hard to decide how to maximize the parking spaces. Now my parking lot has more spaces and it is easy to park without too much turning. I decided to add 12 more concrete wheel stops and 2 more signs with poles. The job was completed exactly the way I wanted. I will definitely refer Cato’s Paving to our friends and neighbors as my gratitude for their job well done! Keep up the good work Cato’s Paving ! My dad was looking for a good company that could repair the entire driveway and the front office parking area. We found Cato’s Paving on Yelp so we decided to reach out to them and get a quote. Cato’s was super fast on getting back to us and on providing us with a quote. They gave us a reasonable price so we decided to go with Cato’s. They were able to schedule us right away to get the work done. It took them only a few days to complete the entire job. All I can say is that this company has great customer service, they are true professionals and they do amazing work! I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I found Cato’s Paving through an ad on Craigslist (kind of sus I know, but hear me out). I will now only use them for my repaving/asphalt needs. I called them on a Monday and I met the estimator Ruben the very next day. He measured out the areas I wanted repaved and was very, very patient to all my questions and concerns. I was very impressed by 1. the level of professionalism, 2. communication I had with Ruben and 3. the very competitive quote I had received. The job is a go with Cato’s.
I was also impressed by Ruben’s knowledge of the ADA regulations for parking lots by explaining to me what the process would be during repaving and the re-striping for the stalls and ADA stall. When I questioned other estimators from different companies on how they would re-stripe the parking lot per ADA regulations, I got a answer that didn’t even pertain to my original question.
I signed the contract and was scheduled the next week for work to begin. The work crew showed up around 6AM, unloaded all their equipment, began tearing out the old asphalt around 6:45AM and finished everything at around 2:30PM. These guys were fast and efficient! They were constantly using laser levels and checked the elevations/slope while paving to make sure the job was done correctly once.
When the work crew was done with the parking lot, I was even more impressed with their cleanup process of their equipment before it was loaded back on to the flat bed trailers and clean up of the work area.
If you were like me, hopelessly looking for a asphalt/repaving company that would give you professionalism, honesty, competitiveness, and not getting ripped off, look no further. My go-to now is Cato’s.

I was looking for a company to stripe the parking lot for our business, and add No Parking signs. I found Cato’s with a local search. A friendly estimator reached out to me quickly. He was able to let me know a rough cost for my job based on some basic information I had.
